About The Service Outlet
In 1993 Marc Harvey established The Service Outlet in
San Ramon. Having almost 20 years’ experience managing his family’s auto dealerships, he identified a need for quality, affordable service for the thousands of Acura, Honda, Lexus and Toyota owners in the area.
He understood that many customers who purchase new vehicles choose not to service them at the dealership.
Marc’s objective was to open a service and repair facility that would rival major dealerships in quality and expertise, plus offer a level of service and pricing that is unavailable at dealerships, independent repair facilities and local oil-changing shops. He then set about creating a facility that would not only meet these criteria, but would also be a comfortable and pleasant environment for customers.
He exceeded expectations by providing little “extras,”
such as cool drinks and snacks in the reception area.
Word quickly spread about The Service Outlet, and two years later—in 1995—Marc opened a second facility in Lafayette.
Today, The Service Outlet is proud to have earned the loyalty of thousands of long-time customers. By staying true to its original values, it has enjoyed consistent growth and expansion. In early 2008 Marc opened a new facility in the Central Valley—in Modesto—and he has at least three more locations planned for the near future.
